Computer Engineering and Intelligent Systems
In response to the rapid technological advancements driven by computing and artificial intelligence, the former Computer Engineering program has been upgraded to the Computer Engineering and Intelligent Systems program, making it the first bachelor’s degree of its kind in Yemen. This innovative program emphasizes the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into engineering systems to develop smart solutions that align with the global technological revolution.
The curriculum combines multiple disciplines, including electronic engineering, computer engineering, computer networks, artificial intelligence, and intelligent systems. Graduates of this program will acquire comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in areas such as electrical and electronic circuits, computer systems and networks, automation and control systems, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, advanced programming for applications and microcontrollers, FPGA chip design, and embedded systems for smart device development.
The Computer and Intelligent Systems Engineering program strives to prepare engineers who are equipped with the knowledge and scientific skills related to computer and intelligent systems fields, to meet the requirements of the rapid development of the labor market locally and regionally, through specialized academic staff, developed curriculums, and a distinct learning environment. The program shall contribute to the community through practical researches according to quality systems, professionalism, and ethics.
The Computer and Intelligent Systems Engineering program aims to:
- Prepare highly qualified engineering graduates provided with knowledge and skills in the computer and intelligent systems fields.
- Provide graduates with the ability to apply the knowledge of computer and artificial intelligence techniques to meet the requirements of the developed labor market.
- Supply graduates with the required skills of practical research, and to continue their professional development and learning in their field.
- Contribute to community services through preparing practical research in computer and intelligent systems fields.
- Graduation from a high school – Scientific Section – or its equivalent with a grade level that is determined by the university and the Ministry of Higher Education.
- Submission of all the required documents, which are accredited, and the admission application to the admission and registration office.
