Scientific & Research Experience:
- Principal Investigator & Supervisor for multiple institutional and hospital-based research studies focusing on the epidemiology and histopathological characterization of various diseases in the Yemeni population, including cancers (bladder, renal), hematological malignancies, and oral pathologies.
- Supervision of Histopathology Services: Overseeing diagnostic accuracy, quality control, and workflow management as Head of Histopathology at Saudi German Hospital and as Senior Consultant at AL-Kuwait and AL-Thawra Hospitals, ensuring adherence to international standards in cyto/histopathological diagnosis.
- Research & Editorial Contribution: Active contributor to peer-reviewed journals, with numerous publications in the Universal Journal of Pharmaceutical Research, Clinical Medical Reviews and Reports, and other specialized publications. Research focuses on cancer epidemiology, infectious diseases (e.g., leishmaniasis, CMV), and ophthalmic pathology.
- Curriculum Development: Authored and revised three key textbooks for medical education in Yemen: General Pathology (1st and 2nd eds.), Systemic Pathology (1st and 2nd eds.), and Pathology of the Cardiovascular System (3rd ed.). These books serve as core educational resources for pathology students at Sana’a University.
- Scientific Committee Member: Serve as a member of the Scientific Council for the Arab Board (Pathology), contributing to the evaluation and standardization of pathology training and certification across the Arab region.
- Ongoing Research: Currently conducting studies on the prevalence and risk factors of oral irritation fibroma in Sana’a City, and investigating the impact of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection among leukemic children in Yemen.
