The University of Science and Technology in Sana’a (UST), represented by the Faculty of Engineering, participated in the Third Renewable Energy Exhibition held at the Recreational Club in the capital, Sana’a. The event featured the participation of several universities, institutions, and organizations involved in solar energy.
The exhibition was visited by Prof. Adnan Al-Mutawakkil, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Vice Dean: Eng. Hamdi Ghazi, Coordinator of the Renewable Energy Engineering Program; Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Dhobhani, Director of Marketing, Public Relations, and Media; Eng. Mohammed Qadha. During their visit, they explored a distinguished student initiative titled “Atharna Akhdar or Our Heritage is Green” presented by Interior Design students.
The initiative aims to promote environmental awareness and foster a culture of sustainability within the community through interior design projects that adhere to environmental standards and incorporate renewable energy to enhance the quality of urban environments.
The Dean of the Faculty praised the initiative, noting that it reflects the students’ awareness of the role of design in serving both the environment and society.
