Sana’a – The College of Computing and Information Technology at the University of Science and Technology (UST) held today the Artifact 4 Student Projects Exhibition, showcasing a diverse range of applied and innovative projects developed by fourth-level students as part of their academic courses.
The exhibition reflects the College’s commitment to strengthening the practical and applied dimensions of education and encouraging students to innovate by applying the knowledge and technical skills they acquire to developing projects that address real-world needs and align with labor market requirements.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Noman Al-Najjar, Vice President of the University, alongside Dr. Fouad Hanash, Secretary-General of the University, and Prof. Dr. Bilal Al-Fuhaidi, Dean of the College of Computing and Information Technology, in the presence of heads of academic departments, faculty members, administrative staff, and students of the College.
The exhibition featured a wide range of technical projects reflecting the learning outcomes of various courses and academic specializations offered by the College. The projects covered areas including programming, software engineering, information technology, information systems, cybersecurity and networks, artificial intelligence, web and mobile application development, user interface design, encryption, and other emerging technology fields.
Throughout the exhibition, students demonstrated a high level of proficiency in applying the theoretical knowledge and practical skills they had acquired during their studies and transforming them into diverse and creative projects. Many of the projects presented practical technological solutions to a range of problems and needs across different fields.
The showcased projects also highlighted the notable development of students’ capabilities in programming, systems and application development, and the use of modern technologies, while contributing to the development of essential skills in teamwork, problem analysis, creative thinking, and the planning and implementation of technology projects.
During their tour of the exhibition, the Vice President, Secretary-General, Dean of the College, and attending officials reviewed the students’ projects and listened to detailed presentations explaining the concept behind each project, its mechanism of operation, and the technologies used in its development.
They praised the academic and technical level demonstrated by the projects and commended the efforts of the College’s faculty and staff in developing students’ capabilities and strengthening the connection between academic learning and practical application.
