Sana’a – The Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance at the University of Science and Technology concluded on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 AD, a distinguished training program aimed at developing the skills and capabilities of faculty members at the University.
The three-day training program, organized by the Training and Technical Support Unit at the Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance, aimed to enhance the skills and competencies of faculty members in utilizing diverse and effective teaching methods and techniques, thereby boosting the efficiency of academic education at UST.
The program was delivered by expert trainers from the University’s academic staff: Dr. Nusaiba Maqtari, Dr. Essam Al-Muzjaji, and Dr. Iman Al-Sharjabi.
The program covered multiple topics, including introducing instructors to modern strategies, stimulating critical and creative thinking, enhancing interaction inside classrooms, adapting to diverse student needs, utilizing educational technology, evaluating academic performance, strengthening effective communication skills between instructors and students, improving student study skills, and developing scientific research skills.
The training program provided faculty members with an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas among themselves, contributing to the creation of a fruitful educational environment.
During the opening event, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Dr. Amin Al-Kastban, stated that this training program is part of the University’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of education and developing the skills of faculty members, which positively reflects on the University’s academic outcomes.
