Sana’a – The Department of Graphic Design and Multimedia at the College of Computing and Information Technology, University of Science and Technology (UST), concluded on Sunday, September 28, its series of scientific seminars for fourth-level students with a final seminar titled “Wasm.”
The seminar, held at the Female Students’ Branch, focused on three main themes related to visual identities and their evolution within the context of market trends and modern technology:
- In the first theme, designer Bassam Al-Hatami discussed “How to Transform Strategy into Visual Identity,” explaining mechanisms for linking marketing vision with effective visual representation.
- The second theme was presented by faculty member Mr. Mohammed Al-Mashrah, addressing “When to Change or Develop a Visual Identity,” highlighting indicators and factors that necessitate change or development to maintain impact and distinction.
- The third theme, delivered by designer Zuhair Naseer, was titled “Modern Trends in Visual Identities,” showcasing the latest global directions in visual identity design.
The seminar was attended by Prof. Bilal Al-Fahidi, Dean of the College, and Dr. Jawad Al-Hammadi, Head of the Graphic Design Department, along with several faculty members and students who engaged in enriching discussions on the presented topics.
This seminar comes as part of the college’s efforts to strengthen the integration between academic and practical aspects and to prepare students for the labor market with high professionalism.
