Sana’a — In line with its ongoing commitment to elevating educational quality and aligning academic outcomes with global professional standards, the University of Science and Technology (UST), represented by the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, has officially renewed its academic partnership agreement with the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) for the next three years.
This step builds upon the successful partnership initiated in 2022, which has significantly enriched the practical and professional training of students across cybersecurity, networking, and information technology specializations. The collaboration has empowered students to obtain globally recognized professional certifications in high-demand fields, including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), network and web security, and other internationally accredited credentials.
Furthermore, the agreement aims to upskill and empower the faculty’s academic and technical staff through specialized training programs, while providing up-to-date curricula integrated with global market demands in cybersecurity. This initiative directly enhances students’ competitive capabilities and elevates their readiness for both local and international job markets.
Expressing deep pride in the extension of this partnership, the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Bilal Al-Fahidi, stated:
“The renewal of our partnership with EC-Council underscores the university’s steadfast commitment to applying the highest global standards in cybersecurity education and training. It aligns seamlessly with our vision to prepare qualified national professionals capable of safeguarding digital infrastructures and driving digital transformation in Yemen and the wider region.”
Notably, EC-Council stands as one of the world’s premier authorities for accrediting professional cybersecurity programs and certifications, with the University of Science and Technology holding the distinction of being the first university in Yemen to secure academic partnership membership with the council.
