Sana’a- The Female Branch of the University of Science and Technology witnessed the discussion of distinguished graduation projects by the 11th batch of female students specializing in Graphic Design and Multimedia. The projects reflected a striking level of creativity through the production of a series of animation films and design projects as part of the program’s graduation requirements.
The projects varied between ideas addressing deep-rooted social issues in Yemeni society and global humanitarian topics, including:
-
“Nubda” Film: Highlighted erroneous customs and traditions in Yemeni society, addressing critical issues such as revenge killings and the deprivation of women’s inheritance, through artistic handling that embodied the deep psychological and social impacts of these practices.
-
“Al-Janib Al-Akhar” (The Other Side) Film: Focused on the tragedies resulting from wars, presenting a touching humanitarian vision that demonstrates the gap between those experiencing the horrors of war on the ground and those merely watching it on screens.
-
“Rasm Min Rumad” (Drawing from Ashes): Explored the role of art as a tool to expose the horrors of war, documenting pain while simultaneously granting hope.
-
“Krasah” Project: Developed paper games with a Yemeni flavor, aiming to revive traditional games with a modern spirit and strengthen Yemeni cultural and civilizational identity.
Dr. Jawad Al-Hammadi, Head of the Graphic Design and Multimedia Program at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, praised the outstanding level of the projects, emphasizing that the presented works reflect high social awareness and advanced creative capabilities among the students.
