Sana’a – The College of Computing and Information Technology at the University of Science and Technology (UST) in Sana’a organized an academic orientation meeting for first-year students, attended by Prof. Bilal Abdullah Al-Faheidi, Dean of the College, and heads of academic departments. The event was held as part of the College’s commitment to preparing new students for university life and familiarizing them with academic regulations and policies.

During the meeting, the Dean welcomed the new students and wished them a successful and distinguished academic year. He emphasized the importance of adhering to academic regulations and making full use of the educational and training opportunities provided by the College, which contribute to developing students’ skills and enhancing their academic and practical competencies.
Heads of academic departments also provided an overview of the College’s academic programs and specializations, study plans, registration and study procedures, and key guidelines and instructions designed to help students understand university requirements and begin their academic journey on the right footing.
The meeting witnessed positive engagement from students, who were given the opportunity to raise questions and discuss their concerns with the Dean and department heads. This interaction helped strengthen direct communication, address inquiries, and ease challenges that students may encounter at the beginning of their university studies.
The organization of this meeting reflects the College’s commitment to providing academic guidance for new students, fostering communication between students and faculty members, and creating a supportive learning environment that promotes success and excellence while preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid developments in computing and information technology.
