Sana’a – The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research organized the public defense of a Master’s thesis in Orthodontics by Manal Qaid Naji Al-Jailani on Monday, August 24, 2026 (11 Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1448 AH), at 11:30 a.m. in the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Medicine Building.
The thesis, titled “Knowledge and Awareness of Orthodontic Retention Protocols Among a Group of Yemeni Dentists in Sana’a City,” examined the level of awareness and understanding of orthodontic retention protocols among dental practitioners in Sana’a.
The examination committee consisted of Prof. Khaled Abdul Salam Abu Bakr Al-Haddad, Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at UST, serving as Internal Examiner and Chair; Prof. Fouad Lotf Ahmed Al-Mutreb, Associate Professor of Orthodontics at Sana’a University, serving as External Examiner and Committee Member; and Dr. Amin Mohsen Saleh Al-Ashtal, Assistant Professor of Dentistry at UST and the thesis supervisor, serving as Committee Member.
The defense was attended by a number of faculty members, graduate students, researchers, interested academics, and the researcher’s family members and colleagues. During the session, the candidate delivered a concise presentation outlining the study, its objectives, significance, and key findings.
The examination committee commended the quality of the thesis and praised the researcher’s academic and research capabilities, recognizing her contribution to the field of orthodontics and dental research.
