Master of Dentistry

Sana’a – The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Science and Technology (UST) – Sana’a held a distinguished scientific day on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, for the third batch of Master’s students in Orthodontics under the title “The First Year Resident Showcase.”

The organization of this scientific event comes as part of the academic activities of the program, where the students presented a group of clinical cases they worked on during the academic year, as part of the requirements for obtaining a Master’s degree in Orthodontics.

The scientific day featured detailed presentations of clinical cases, including diagnosis, treatment plans, execution mechanisms, and preliminary results, in a scientific atmosphere reflecting the level of academic qualification and clinical training received by the program’s students, alongside rich scientific discussions between students and faculty members.

The Postgraduate Studies Coordinator at the faculty, Prof. Dr. Amin Al-Ashtal, praised the outstanding level demonstrated by the batch students, emphasizing that the presented work reflects the efforts exerted by both students and academic staff, and embodies the program’s commitment to accredited academic and clinical standards. He also pointed out the importance of such events in developing scientific presentation and discussion skills, as well as enhancing professional confidence among resident doctors.

For his part, the Activity Supervisor and Program Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Labani, praised the organization and scientific content of the presentations, stressing that the scientific day represents an important milestone in the students’ academic path, and an opportunity to exchange expertise and foster a culture of research and development in the field of orthodontics.

The organization of this scientific day falls within the Faculty of Dentistry‘s keenness at UST to support specialized scientific activities and elevate the level of postgraduate programs, contributing to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of delivering distinguished therapeutic services according to the latest scientific standards.
