Sana’a – UST Faculty of Dentistry Concludes Advanced Course in Flap Design and Suturing Techniques
In line with the vision of the University of Science and Technology (UST) – Main Campus, Sana’a, in leading continuing medical education, and as part of its ongoing efforts to refine the clinical and surgical skills of dental students and practitioners, the Faculty of Dentistry concluded an advanced training course in minimally invasive surgery and smile design entitled:
📌 “Advanced Course in Flap Design and Suturing Techniques”
The course witnessed remarkable academic engagement, with distinguished participation from a select group of students and dentists representing various universities and dental schools. Participants gathered at UST to gain knowledge and keep pace with the latest surgical techniques.
The course comprised two main components:

Theoretical and Academic Component:
Covered proper planning of flap designs, fundamental principles of tissue management, and the biomaterial science of various suturing techniques, including surgical knots. -
Intensive Hands-on Training:
Conducted in the Faculty’s well-equipped laboratories, where participants practiced surgical skills with precision under direct academic supervision, ensuring effective translation of theoretical knowledge into clinical proficiency.
The Faculty of Dentistry at UST takes pride in hosting this distinguished scientific event and extends its sincere appreciation to all participating students and dentists from various academic institutions for their enthusiasm and commitment.
