The University of Science and Technology (UST) discussed with the organizing committee of the Medicinal Honey Conference aspects of participation and cooperation in the conference scheduled to be held next month. This came during a meeting that brought together UST President Prof. Al-Qasim Abbas and members of the conference’s organizing committee, chaired by Dr. Moeen Al-Mutawakel.

The meeting addressed the importance of the conference in highlighting the medical and therapeutic uses of honey, as well as its role in supporting scientific research and promoting awareness of fields related to medicinal honey and its associated industries. It also underscored the research and academic opportunities that universities and scientific institutions can contribute to in this domain.
Both sides emphasized the importance of UST’s participation in the conference through scientific and research contributions, which would enhance its academic presence and its role in serving the community while supporting scientific orientations related to the health and food sectors.
The meeting also discussed mechanisms for coordination and cooperation between UST and the organizing committee to ensure an active and distinguished participation in the conference, contributing to the success of its events and the achievement of its scientific and knowledge objectives.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at UST, Dr. Abdullah Al-Jamali.
