Sana’a – Prof. Noaman Al-Najjar, Vice President of the University of Science and Technology (UST) and Chair of the Scholarship Supervisory Committee, inspected on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the progress of the competitive examinations for the scholarships offered by the University to high school graduates for the 1448 AH (2026–2027) academic year across various academic disciplines.
During his visit to the examination halls, Prof. Al-Najjar received a detailed briefing from the supervisory committees on the organizational procedures implemented for the examinations. He emphasized the University’s commitment to applying the highest standards of integrity and transparency to ensure equal opportunities for all applicants and to select scholarship recipients based on merit, academic excellence, and competency.
The Vice President noted that the scholarship program reflects the University’s commitment to social responsibility and its ongoing efforts to support outstanding students and enable them to pursue higher education, thereby preparing qualified graduates capable of contributing effectively to society.
The examinations witnessed strong participation, with approximately 2,000 male and female students competing in a well-organized environment under the direct supervision of specialized academic and administrative committees, which provided all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the process.
It is worth noting that the University offers two full scholarships in each academic specialization (one for male students and one for female students), in addition to partial scholarships and distinguished tuition discounts of up to 50%, as part of its continuous efforts to expand access to higher education and promote academic excellence.
The Vice President was accompanied during the visit by members of the Scholarship Supervisory Committee, college representatives, and examination organizing committees.
