Sana’a – Prof. Noman Al-Najjar, Vice President of the University of Science and Technology (UST) and Chairman of the Scholarship Supervisory Committee, inspected on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the progress of the scholarship competition examinations offered by the university to high school graduates for the 1448 AH (2026–2027) academic year across various academic disciplines.
During his tour of the examination halls, Prof. Al-Najjar received a detailed briefing from the supervising committees on the organizational procedures in place. He affirmed the university leadership’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency to ensure equal opportunities for all applicants and to select scholarship recipients based on merit and academic excellence.
The Vice President noted that the scholarship program reflects the university’s social responsibility and its ongoing commitment to supporting outstanding students and enabling them to pursue higher education, thereby preparing qualified graduates capable of contributing to society’s development.
The examinations witnessed strong participation, with approximately 2,000 male and female students competing in a well-organized environment under the direct supervision of academic and administrative committees, which provided all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the process.
It is worth noting that the university offers two full scholarships in each academic program, one for male students and one for female students, in addition to partial scholarships and special tuition discounts of up to 50%, as part of its continued efforts to expand access to education and support academic excellence.
Prof. Al-Najjar was accompanied during the visit by members of the Scholarship Supervisory Committee, college representatives, and examination organizing committees.
