Sana’a – In conjunction with World Translation Day, female students from the third and fourth levels of the Translation program organized an exhibition showcasing their work on translation errors found in shop signs and restaurant menus, as well as translated user guides for selected products and informational leaflets for certain medications—all of which originally lacked Arabic translations.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Ali Saleh Al-Ward, Head of the Department, and Dr. Iman Abdulghani Al-Sharjabi, the exhibition supervisor. Attendees listened to student presentations addressing the identified errors, their corrections, and the strategies employed in producing the translations. The presentations also highlighted the challenges encountered and the methods used to overcome them.
This activity forms part of the Technical Translation and Commercial Translation courses, aiming to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application.
