Ibb– The Student Affairs Department, in collaboration with the academic departments at the University of Science and Technology Ibb branch, hosted the consultative and guidance meeting for academic level representatives (“Student Representatives”) on the morning of Wednesday, Muharram 21, 1447 AH, corresponding to July 16, 2025 AD. The event featured a key meeting between branch director Dr. Mokram Al-Jamali and the student representatives across various academic and scientific departments at the university branch.
During the gathering, branch director Dr. Mokram Al-Jamali delivered an address thanking the organizers and the student representatives for their active role in leading their cohorts, maintaining effective communication with department heads and university administration, and contributing to the enhancement and development of the academic process, student services, and peer awareness regarding university regulations and systems to achieve constructive integration and cooperation serving the general interest of all students.
Dr. Al-Jamali also highlighted, through a brief overview, that the university‘s graduates work both inside and outside the country, emphasizing that the strength of the university stems from the quality of its education, its academic and administrative staff, and its unwavering commitment to student welfare across all domains.
The meeting concluded with a workshop moderated by the head of the Student Affairs Department, Mr. Sami Nauman Yassin, focusing on activating the leadership role of student representatives within the student body, their involvement in university services and activities, and methods for developing and improving them. During the session, various student challenges were reviewed and appropriate solutions were formulated.
The event was attended by several academic department heads, along with a number of university branch affiliates, including academics, administrators, and students.
