Library of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences
Overview of the Library:
The Library of the Faculty of Medical Sciences was established in 1994, concurrently with the establishment of the Faculty. It is a specialized library dedicated to the fields of medical sciences and pharmacy.
The library provides its services to all members of the University, including students, academic staff, and administrative personnel. It also offers on-site reading and research services to researchers, university graduates, and members of the local community.
Library Location:
The library is located within the building of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, on the first floor.

Books Section:
The library contains more than 10,000 printed volumes covering various fields of medical sciences. This collection includes references, atlases, encyclopedias, and dictionaries. -
Periodicals Section:
This section includes a wide range of periodicals in the fields of medical sciences and pharmacy, as well as university journals and additional materials received through donations. -
Theses and Dissertations Section:
This section comprises outstanding undergraduate research projects along with numerous Master’s and PhD theses in medical sciences. -
Software and CD-ROM Section:
This section includes a variety of digital materials and scientific resources related to medical studies, research, and academic projects. -
Library Laboratory:
Equipped with computers designated for scientific research and access to the electronic library. The library also provides a wireless network for users’ personal devices.
Library Services:
The library offers the following services:
- Borrowing and returning books through an automated system in accordance with lending regulations.
- Guidance and orientation for library users on how to access and utilize information resources.
- Training on the use of the electronic library and its services.
- Organization and classification of library materials to facilitate access to information.
- Current awareness services regarding newly acquired references and periodicals.
- Assistance to researchers in identifying relevant reference materials through the library’s automated system.
- Provision of a suitable environment for reading and research, ensuring adherence to library regulations.
- Availability of computer laboratories to support academic research.
