Sana’a – The Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Department organized on Thursday, July 16, 2026, corresponding to 2 Safar 1448 AH, at 11:00 a.m., a public defense of the Master’s thesis in Accounting submitted by researcher Mohammed Yahya Ahmed Mada’as. The defense was held in the Seminar Hall at the College of Medicine building.
The thesis, entitled “The Impact of Using Modern Analytical Procedures on Improving the Performance of the External Audit Process: A Field Study of Auditing Offices and Firms Operating in the Capital Municipality of Sana’a, Republic of Yemen,” examined the role of modern analytical procedures in enhancing the effectiveness and performance of external auditing.
The defense committee comprised Prof. Abdullah Hassan Mohammed Al-Manhouri, Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Science and Technology and the Internal Examiner, who chaired the committee; Prof. Sultan Ali Ahmed Al-Suraihi, Professor of Accounting at the University of Science and Technology and the researcher’s supervisor, as a committee member; and Prof. Hameed Abdullah Ali Maswack, Associate Professor of Accounting at Amran University and the External Examiner, as a committee member.
The defense was attended by a number of faculty members, postgraduate students, researchers, academics, and those interested in the field, as well as the researcher’s relatives and colleagues.
The committee listened to a brief presentation by Mohammed Yahya Ahmed Mada’as outlining his thesis, its objectives and significance, and the findings reached by the study. Following the discussion, the committee commended the thesis submitted by the researcher and praised his academic and research capabilities.
