Sana’a – The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University of Science and Technology (UST) organized, on Thursday, August 6, 2026 (23 Safar 1448 AH), at 11:00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall of the College of Dentistry, the public defense of the Master’s thesis in Orthodontics presented by researcher Shehab Yahya Saleh Ghannam, entitled:

“Knowledge and Awareness of Serial Tooth Extraction Among a Group of Yemeni Dentists and Orthodontic Students in Sana’a City.”
The examination committee consisted of Prof. Fouad Lotf Ahmed Al-Mutrab, Associate Professor of Orthodontics at Sana’a University, serving as External Examiner and Chair; Dr. Amin Mohsen Saleh Al-Ashtal, Assistant Professor of Dentistry at UST, serving as Internal Examiner and Committee Member; and Prof. Mohammed Abdullah Salem Al-Labani, Professor of Orthodontics at UST and the thesis supervisor, serving as Committee Member.
The defense was attended by a number of faculty members, graduate students, researchers, interested participants, as well as the researcher’s relatives and colleagues. During the session, the researcher delivered a concise presentation outlining the study, its objectives, significance, and key findings.
The examination committee commended the quality of the thesis and praised the researcher’s academic competence and scientific research capabilities, recognizing the value of the study and its contribution to the field of orthodontics.
