Sana’a — Amidst an atmosphere of joy and celebration of achievement, a farewell ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, for the 24th batch of General Pharmacy and the 7th batch of Clinical Pharmacy, the “Pharmaceutical Impact” cohort of female graduates from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Science and Technology (UST).

This ceremony comes as part of the university’s ongoing celebrations during this period to bid farewell to a number of graduation cohorts from various programs and disciplines across different faculties.

During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Jamil Al-Dhabhani, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy, delivered a speech congratulating the female graduates and wishing them continued success in their professional lives. He described this historic moment as the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and long nights of studying and dedicated effort.

Al-Dhabhani urged the graduates to continue self-learning, education, and professional development to acquire further knowledge and skills, elevating their scientific and practical levels. He also offered them a set of valuable pieces of advice and guidance for their field practice, most notably committing to professional ethics, keeping the service of the nation and citizens, and seeking the pleasure of Almighty God at the forefront of everything they do.

The Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department expressed profound gratitude to the faculty members for their efforts in preparing and qualifying the female students, as well as to the parents for their immense giving and support in educating their daughters.

The graduates’ speech was delivered by graduate Nada Al-Bazzaz, who expressed great gratitude to the faculty leadership and all faculty members for the knowledge, sciences, training, and support they provided throughout their academic journey, which culminated in this success.

The ceremony featured the administration of the medical oath to the female graduates, along with artistic performances that were well-received by the attendees.

At the conclusion of the event, the female graduates were honored by the faculty leadership and the Female Student Affairs Administration. In turn, the graduates honored the dean’s office and faculty members.

The celebration was attended by a number of faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mr. Rafiq Al-Sharmani, Director of Student Affairs, Mona Al-Ashwal, Director of Female Student Affairs, Ms. Maha Al-Dubaie, Alumnae Club Specialist, and several administrative staff members from the Faculty of Pharmacy.
