Sana’a — Prof. Dr. Nuaman Al-Najjar, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Doaa Anwar Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, inaugurated today, Saturday, June 28, 2025, the field training for Clinical Pharmacy students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Science and Technology (UST).

During the inauguration, Prof. Dr. Jamil Al-Dhabhani, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Practices Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy, explained that this is the first phase of the field training process for sixth-year clinical pharmacy students, which will last for about ten months at the University of Science and Technology Hospital and the Al-Jumhouri Hospital.

Prof. Dr. Jamil Al-Dhabhani emphasized the importance of clinical training in equipping students with the practical and applied experiences necessary to develop their skills in the field of clinical pharmacy.

He stated, “The training will enable students to apply the theoretical knowledge they studied at the college to real cases in hospitals, which contributes to preparing them better for professional practice after graduation.”

He added that the training will be supervised by experienced clinical pharmacy professors at the faculty and will provide students with the opportunity to learn about various aspects related to patient pharmaceutical care, including dispensing medications, monitoring side effects, drug interactions, and managing medical cases.
