Sana’a — The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research organized on Saturday, Jumada al-Awwal 17, 1447 AH, corresponding to November 8, 2025, at ten in the morning in the Seminar Hall, the public defense for a Master’s thesis in Pharmacology submitted by researcher Maimouna Abdullah Saleh Matar, entitled “A Study of the Protective Effect of Vitamin B Complex Against Contrast-Induced Nephropathy in a Rat Model.”

The defense committee consisted of:

  • Prof. Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Mahdhar, Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Thamar University (External Examiner and Chair).

  • Prof. Dr. Doaa Anwar Ibrahim Al-Mumen, Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Science and Technology (UST) (Supervisor and Member).

  • Dr. Buthaina Abdul-Wali Abdul-Rahman Al-Omrani, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Science and Technology (UST) (Internal Examiner and Member).

The defense was attended by Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Hassan Al-Sheikh, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Jamil Al-Dhabhani, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Practice Department, alongside a number of faculty members, graduate students, researchers, and the researcher’s relatives and colleagues.

The defense committee listened to a brief presentation by the researcher regarding the scientific thesis, its objectives, significance, and findings. The committee praised the thesis presented by the researcher as well as her academic and research capabilities.
