Activities and Clubs

Scientific Activities and Events:

Among the scientific and student activities and events are:
  • Welcoming newly admitted students and conducting orientation meetings for them.

  • Organizing graduation projects.

  • Holding scientific days and academic events.
  • Offering diploma programs and training courses designed to meet labor market requirements.
  • Organizing scientific exhibitions.

  • Hosting school visits.

 

UST Alumni Club:
The UST Alumni Club aims to strengthen continuous communication between the University’s graduates and current students, build a professional network that facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experiences, support professional development, and connect graduates with local and regional labor market opportunities.
Objectives of the Alumni Club:
  1. Strengthening the relationship between the University and its graduates.
  2. Supporting employment and internship opportunities for graduates and students.
  3. Organizing professional networking events and alumni gatherings.
  4. Benefiting from alumni expertise in the development of academic programs.
  5. Enhancing institutional affiliation and loyalty to the University of Science and Technology (UST).

Summer internship opportunities

1. Hospital Training: Hospital Pharmacies

Objective:
  1. Develop therapeutic assessment skills and enhance collaboration with healthcare teams.
  2. Gain knowledge of the pharmaceutical supply chain, including storage and inventory management.
  3. Understand the role of the pharmacist within the healthcare team.
  4. Strengthen patient communication skills, respond to inquiries, and become familiar with administrative and legal aspects of pharmacy practice.

2. Community Pharmacies

Objective:
  • Gain practical experience in day-to-day patient interactions and develop an understanding of the practical aspects of medication dispensing.

3. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Training

Objectives:
  1. Learn about pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  2. Gain hands-on experience with quality assurance and inspection systems.
  3. Develop an understanding of the drug life cycle.
  4. Increase awareness of occupational and environmental safety practices, as well as regulatory and pharmaceutical marketing aspects.
