🎯 The role of Quality Assurance in the branches is summarised as follows:

  • Communicating with the Quality Assurance Administration at the Main Center to learn about all updates regarding the evaluation process, including standards, indicators, and procedures, and circulating them to all scientific departments in the branch.
  • Improving the culture of quality in the field of evaluation and performance improvement as part of its role in educating in the field of quality and accreditation in general.
  • Annual evaluation of scientific departments: according to what is described in this guide.
  • Evaluating faculty members (full-time) in the branch in coordination with scientific departments on a semester basis.
  • Comprehensive self-evaluation of scientific departments: according to what is described in this guide.
  • Contributing to directing and supporting the implementation of corrective plans:
    • Directing the preparation of corrective plans by scientific departments in light of evaluation results as well as the branch's strategy, determining the branch's priorities in light of evaluation results, provided that a comprehensive corrective plan is prepared for each department in light of the results and recommendations of the latest evaluation report for scientific departments, detailed over two years (or three years depending on the comprehensive evaluation cycle).
    • Contributing to following up on the implementation of corrective plans and general performance indicators on a semester and annual basis and providing the Quality Assurance Administration with the necessary information in cooperation with scientific departments and the branch administration.
  • Contributing to preparing the corrective plan for the branch administration and including the requirements supporting the corrective plans in the scientific departments.
  • Contributing to identifying the training needs of faculty members and academic leaders in the branch based on the results of department and faculty evaluations in coordination with scientific departments and submitting them to the branch administration.
  • Providing necessary training for individuals implementing the evaluation process and those concerned with quality work in the branch, whether in the administration itself or in scientific departments, according to the administration's plan.

🧑‍💼 Tasks of the Quality Assurance Director in the Branch

  • Preparing the strategic plan, annual plan, and periodic reports for the administration.
  • Contributing to preparing the university's strategic plans, as well as annual plans and periodic reports.
  • Proposing necessary developmental and improvement work for the university based on the outcomes of evaluation processes.
  • Directing the preparation of corrective plans for the branch administration according to evaluation results.
  • Forming evaluation and internal audit teams and submitting them to the University President.
  • Directing the work of quality coordinators in scientific departments.
  • Selecting and appointing employees in the administration.
  • Evaluating the administration's staff.
  • Determining bonuses for the administration's employees.
  • Preparing, organising, and implementing the evaluation and internal audit process for scientific departments. Preparing the annual and comprehensive performance report based on the evaluation process and recommending what is necessary based on its results, and submitting it to the branch administration.
  • Recommending necessary training topics and submitting them to the University Presidency to include them in the annual training programs for various departments based on evaluation results and in coordination with these departments.

  • Typing internal and external memos for everything related to the administration in both Arabic and English.

  • Organising and coordinating the schedule of the administration's meetings.
  • Participating in the annual and comprehensive evaluation and internal audit process by entering evaluation data.
