Stemming from the need for distinguished competencies of pharmacists and their assistants, the Department of Medical Sciences at the University of Science and Technology – Taiz Branch seeks to supply the local and regional labour market with field cadres qualified scientifically and skill‑wise according to recognised academic standards — capable of serving the community and solving its problems through providing an educational environment with distinguished faculty members, advanced curricula, and modern laboratories, while observing commitment to professional ethics.

The Bachelor of Pharmacy program possesses an updated vision, mission, and objectives consistent with the College's mission and the University's mission. These were prepared by academics and specialised experts based on the University's strategy and the needs of the local and regional labour market. They do not conflict with the University's objectives, mission, and vision, and are in line with Yemeni Universities Law, Private Universities Law, and the legislation in force.

🎯 Program Objectives
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Design, develop, and provide safe and effective medicines for patients.
- Master the essential knowledge in basic, pharmaceutical, and clinical sciences necessary to carry out their roles as healthcare providers.
- Practise professional, personal, and social skills in pharmacy.
- Integrate knowledge and skills in improving the therapeutic management of patients and the ability to make evidence‑based decisions.
- Acquire the skills and behaviours necessary for practising independent learning, including the skills of retrieving, evaluating, disseminating, and applying modern knowledge and linking it to the latest scientific developments.
🎓 Admission Requirements
As stated in the Admission and Registration Guide.
- General Secondary Certificate average of not less than 75%.
- No more than 5 years must have passed since obtaining the General Secondary Certificate.
- The student submits the original and a true copy of the General Secondary Certificate.
- The student submits a copy of the personal ID card for Yemeni nationals, or a copy of the passport for foreigners.

- Obtaining a TOEFL certificate in English.
- Obtaining the International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL).
- Teaching some requirements that give the student communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
- Study system in English, except for some requirements in Arabic.

- Competent, full‑time, and qualified teaching staff.
- Modern curricula that meet quality requirements and standards.
