UST Taiz Branch Director Chairs Pharmacy Department Graduation Project Defense Committee for 1446 AH
Taiz-Al Hawban – Prof. Muath Abdul-Salam, Director of the University of Science and Technology (UST) Taiz Branch, chaired the Graduation Project Defense Committee of the Department of Pharmacy, which concluded the public defense sessions for graduation projects for the 1446 AH academic year on Saturday, 21 Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to 19 April 2025.
In a statement to the branch’s news outlet, Dr. Bashir Murshid, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, stated that this year’s defense committee included Dr. Mukhtar Al-Hammadi, Dr. Bashir Murshid, and Dr. Mukhtar Al-Jabalain.
He explained that the committee discussed seven research projects over a four-day period. The projects covered a variety of topics, including the development of new pharmaceutical compounds and the evaluation of their biological effectiveness, quality control assessment of commercial pharmaceutical products available in pharmacies across Taiz City, and the formulation of pharmaceutical preparations for the treatment of acne as well as blackheads and whiteheads.
Dr. Murshid added that all research projects were carried out in the laboratories of the Department of Pharmacy at the branch.
