Taiz-Al Hawban – The University of Science and Technology (UST) branch in Taiz-Al Hawban celebrated the graduation and farewell of the “Accounting Justice” cohort, comprising thirty-three graduates from the Department of Administrative Sciences, on Sunday, 20 Dhul-Qi’dah 1446 AH, corresponding to 18 May 2025, at Taiz Hall in Al Hawban.
In the university’s address, delivered by Mohammed Hassan Al-Qairi, Head of Student Affairs, he welcomed the distinguished guests and conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the branch leadership, represented by Prof. Muath Abdul-Salam, to the graduates and their families. He wished them success in their professional careers, emphasizing that graduation is not the end of the journey but rather the beginning of a new phase of achievement, whether through pursuing higher education or entering the labor market. He encouraged graduates to seize opportunities and face future challenges with wisdom and determination.
Al-Qairi noted that the celebration coincided with the opening of admissions and registration for a new cohort of students across the university’s various academic programs and disciplines, reflecting UST’s ongoing commitment to excellence and leadership in higher education. He also highlighted the educational and community services provided by the branch to the people of Taiz Governorate.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Ayman Abdullah Hashem expressed the joy shared by him and his colleagues on this special occasion. He extended sincere appreciation to the university leadership, the department, faculty members, and all administrative and technical staff for their continuous support throughout their academic journey. He also commended the efforts that enabled the graduates to reach this important milestone and reflected on the knowledge and experiences they gained during their years of study.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the graduates’ procession and the performance of the Yemeni and Palestinian national anthems. The event concluded with the organizing committee honoring representatives of the university, the department, and faculty members in recognition of their contributions. Graduates were then honored by university representatives, including Ishraq Razaz, Female Students Affairs Officer, and department representatives Amjad Al-Wajeeh, Jawaher Al-Qubati, and Hanadi Al-Baadani.
The event also featured a documentary presentation highlighting the cohort’s academic journey, in addition to a variety of artistic and creative performances that were warmly received by the audience.
Among those attending the ceremony was Dr. Hamoud Al-Majidi, Professor of Politics and Economics at Taiz University, along with a number of community figures, family members of the graduates, and their colleagues.
