The Dentistry Department at the University of Science and Technology – Taiz seeks to be one of the most distinguished medical departments at the local and regional levels. It works to achieve this by raising the level of performance in academic and administrative aspects, through providing suitable environments for education, training, and the implementation of qualitative applied research, as well as offering high‑quality therapeutic services to the community. The Department also seeks to graduate distinguished dentists capable of applying the skills they have learned and the experience they have gained with high efficiency.

1. Providing a high level of education and training that ensures the qualification of dentists to high standards of competence.
2. Providing oral and dental health services to community members through the Department's dental clinics.
3. Developing the skills of faculty members to keep pace with developments in teaching and learning methods.
4. Working to activate partnerships and develop relationships with dental colleges and local scientific research institutions.
5. Communicating with graduates and connecting them to the Department in order to develop their professional and research expertise.
