Sana’a – Under the patronage of Prof. Al-Qasim Mohammed Abbas, President of the University, the College of Dentistry at the University of Science and Technology (UST) launched its theoretical and scientific internship program on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The program will continue for two weeks in the Late Dr. Tareq Sinan Abu Lohoum Hall at University Hospital.
In the opening session, Dr. Issa Nassar, Internship Program Coordinator at the College of Dentistry, welcomed the internship students and wished them success in their professional journey. He emphasized that the program represents an important academic and professional milestone in strengthening students’ clinical skills and enabling them to benefit from the expertise of faculty members, thereby contributing to the preparation of competent dentists capable of delivering distinguished healthcare services and serving the community.
The program aims to enhance the scientific and clinical competencies of internship students through a series of specialized lectures covering the latest developments in oral and periodontal surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, dental radiology, biomaterials, management of patients with special medical conditions, and scientific research.
The program is delivered by a distinguished group of faculty members from the College of Dentistry as part of the college’s commitment to preparing dentists with strong academic knowledge and practical expertise, ultimately contributing to the advancement of healthcare quality and community service.
