Sana’a – The University of Science and Technology (UST), represented by the Deanship of the Faculty of Dentistry and under the patronage of Prof. Al-Qasim Mohammed Abbas, President of the University, organized today a free training course entitled “Mastering Direct Composite Restorations.” The course was delivered by international lecturer Dr. Islam Al-Badani and was held on the sidelines of the Yemeni Conference and Exhibition for Cosmetic and Surgical Dentistry.
At the opening of the course, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at UST, Dr. Alfat Al-Bahri, welcomed participating dental students and graduates, emphasizing that the organization of this course stems from the University’s commitment to advancing continuing medical education and providing specialized training programs that keep pace with the latest developments in dentistry. She noted that such initiatives contribute to enhancing the competencies of medical professionals and improving the quality of professional practice.
She further highlighted that the course represents an outstanding scientific opportunity for dentists and those interested in the field to explore the latest techniques in direct composite restorations and acquire practical skills in accordance with modern international standards, which will positively reflect on the quality of therapeutic and cosmetic dental services provided to patients.
Dr. Al-Bahri added that hosting the course alongside the Yemeni Conference and Exhibition for Cosmetic and Surgical Dentistry reflects the University’s commitment to enriching the conference’s scientific program with specialized training activities that foster knowledge exchange between academics and practitioners, as well as the engagement of distinguished scientific expertise across various dental specialties.
