Sana'a - Prof. Al-Qasim Abbas, President of the University of Science and Technology (UST), honored the winners of the Creativity and Innovation Competition for the 2025/2026 academic year on Tuesday. The award recognized outstanding high school students and graduates for their innovative ideas and projects, which reflected their scientific capabilities and creative potential.

During the ceremony, Prof. Al-Qasim Abbas praised the distinguished level demonstrated by the participants, emphasizing that supporting talented and creative young people and identifying promising abilities remain a priority for UST. He noted that this commitment stems from the University's role in promoting a culture of innovation and transforming scientific ideas into practical projects and solutions that serve society.

Prof. Al-Qasim Abbas explained that organizing the competition aligns with UST’s vision of discovering talented individuals, encouraging creativity, and fostering an academic environment that nurtures innovation and excellence. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prof. Al-Qasim Abbas presented certificates of recognition to the winners and wished them continued success, excellence, and progress in their journey of creativity and innovation.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Nu’man Al-Najjar, Vice President of UST; Prof. Huda Al-Emad, Advisor to the President for Quality and Accreditation Affairs; and a number of parents of the honored students.
