Sana’a – Prof. Numan Al-Najjar, Vice President of the University of Science and Technology (UST) and Chairman of the Scholarships Supervisory Committee, inspected on Thursday, July 30, 2026, the progress of the competitive examinations for scholarships offered by the university to high school graduates for the 1448 AH (2026–2027) academic year across various academic disciplines.
During his tour of the examination halls, Prof. Al-Najjar received a detailed briefing from the supervising committees on the organizational procedures in place. He emphasized the university leadership’s commitment to applying the highest standards of integrity and transparency to ensure equal opportunities for all applicants and to select deserving candidates based on merit and academic excellence.
The Vice President noted that the scholarship program is part of the university’s social responsibility initiatives and reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting outstanding students and enabling them to pursue higher education, thereby preparing qualified graduates capable of serving society.
The examinations witnessed strong participation, with approximately 2,000 male and female students competing in a well-organized environment under the direct supervision of specialized academic and administrative committees, which provided all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the process.
It is worth noting that the university offers two full scholarships in each academic specialization, one for male students and one for female students, in addition to partial scholarships and distinguished tuition discounts of up to 50%, as part of its continuous efforts to expand access to education and promote academic excellence.
The inspection tour was attended by a number of members of the Scholarships Supervisory Committee, representatives of the colleges, and the committees responsible for organizing the examinations.
