Sana’a – The College of Computers and Information Technology at the University of Science and Technology (UST) today organized a scientific workshop to review and approve the Program Specification Document for the Bachelor’s Program in Computer Information Systems, as part of the College’s efforts to develop and update its academic programs in line with modern technological advancements and labor market needs.

In the opening session, the Dean of the College, Prof. Bilal Al‑Fahidi, emphasized the importance of launching the Bachelor’s Program in Computer Information Systems, noting that it falls within the College’s strategic direction to offer high-quality academic programs that respond to the rapid pace of digital transformation and contribute to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of keeping up with developments in information systems and modern technologies.
He explained that the program represents an important academic addition aimed at equipping students with the technical and managerial knowledge and skills required to analyze, design, and manage computer information systems, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the local and regional labor markets.
Prof. Al‑Fahidi also pointed out the College’s commitment to developing its programs in accordance with the National Academic Reference Standards (NARS 2023), the unified curriculum plan issued by the Ministry, and the international ABET standards, in preparing the program specification document and its supporting annexes. This approach ensures integration between theoretical and practical components and contributes to graduating students who possess professional competence and the ability to innovate and excel in the fields of information technology and computer information systems.
