Sana’a – The Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance, in cooperation with the Strategic Planning Department at the University of Science and Technology (UST), held today a specialized training workshop targeting academic program coordinators. The workshop comes as part of a series of accompanying workshops for the preparation of the University’s Third Strategic Plan, within the framework of its ongoing efforts to enhance institutional performance quality and improve educational outcomes.
The workshop aimed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to analyze competitors’ performance by introducing the most prominent modern tools and methodologies used in this field. This, in turn, contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of academic programs and developing their strategic plans in line with best practices.
The workshop was delivered by Prof. Bilal Abdullah Al‑Fahidi, who addressed several key topics, most notably methods for collecting and analyzing competitor-related data, benchmarking mechanisms, and how to utilize analysis results to support decision-making and develop academic programs in alignment with the University’s strategic directions.
The workshop was attended by college deans, heads of academic departments, and academic program coordinators.
This workshop is part of a series of training programs implemented by the Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance, aimed at supporting the University’s journey toward achieving institutional excellence and strengthening its competitive position at both the local and international levels.
