Sana’a – The Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Science and Technology (UST), Dr. Adnan Al‑Mutawakel, accompanied by the Vice Dean Dr. Hamdi Ghazi, the Head of the Civil Engineering Department Dr. Ahmed Humaid, a number of faculty members of the College, and the Deputy Director of Marketing and Public Relations, paid a visit today to the Engineering Students’ Pavilion at the Fifth Construction and Building Exhibition.
The exhibition is being held in coordination between the Ministries of Economy and Industry, and Transport and Public Works, with the participation of a number of national public and private companies and factories. It aims to introduce locally manufactured products in the construction and building sector, thereby enhancing their presence in the market as alternatives to imported products.
During the visit, the Dean, Vice Dean, and faculty members reviewed a range of projects and design works presented by the students, which reflected a distinguished level of creativity and engineering skills, as well as their ability to apply academic knowledge to practical solutions serving the construction and building sector.
The visitors praised the advanced engineering models and designs showcased at the pavilion, affirming that these works reflect the quality of educational outcomes at the College and its commitment to developing students’ skills while encouraging innovation and creativity. They also expressed their appreciation for the efforts exerted by male and female students in preparing these projects, highlighting the importance of participating in such exhibitions as a vital platform for showcasing students’ capabilities and strengthening their connection with labor market needs.
