Sana’a – The University of Science and Technology (UST) today signed a joint cooperation agreement with Al-Dhalea University, in a step aimed at strengthening academic partnership and advancing education and scientific research between the two institutions. The agreement was signed by UST President Prof. Al‑Qasim Mohammed Abbas and Prof. Ali Saeed Al‑Tareq, President of Al‑Dhalea University.

The signing ceremony was held at UST headquarters, in the presence of Dr. Munther Ishaq, Dean of the College of Administrative and Human Sciences at UST, and Dr. Moeen Al‑Bukhaiti, Secretary‑General of Al‑Dhalea University.
The agreement seeks to broaden avenues of joint cooperation across multiple fields, including the exchange of academic expertise, development of academic programs and curricula, implementation of joint scientific research, and the organization of conferences, seminars, and training workshops. These efforts aim to enhance the academic and administrative performance of both universities.
The agreement underscores the importance of Al‑Dhalea University benefiting from the expertise and capabilities of UST in Sana’a, as one of Yemen’s leading private higher education institutions, distinguished by its modern and integrated infrastructure, extensive experience in academic program development, application of quality standards, and adoption of contemporary teaching methodologies.
It also provides for enhanced cooperation in scientific research and community service, as well as the exchange of academic staff and students, contributing to capacity building at Al‑Dhalea University and opening new opportunities for students and researchers.
In this context, both sides expressed their aspiration that this agreement will mark the beginning of an effective and sustainable strategic partnership, contributing to integration among higher education institutions and improving the quality of higher education outcomes in support of Yemen’s development path.
