Sana’a – The College of Pharmacy at the University of Science and Technology (UST) organized a workshop today to discuss and approve the Master’s Program in Clinical Pharmacy, under the patronage of Prof. Al-Qasim Mohammed Abbas, President of UST. The event was attended by Prof. Abdullah Al-Jumaili, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Jameel Al-Dhabhani, Vice Dean of the College, as well as a number of academics, labor market representatives, and prospective students of the program.
The workshop aimed to review the components of the Master’s Program in Clinical Pharmacy in order to further develop the program, align it with the needs of the healthcare sector and labor market requirements, and enhance the quality of its academic and professional outcomes.
Discussions focused on several key areas, including the program’s mission and objectives, intended learning outcomes, study plan, and academic courses, with particular emphasis on their relevance to recent developments in the field of clinical pharmacy and the evolving needs of healthcare institutions.
The workshop also provided an interactive platform for dialogue and exchange of perspectives among academics, labor market representatives, and students. The discussions sought to benefit from diverse viewpoints in refining the program content and strengthening its practical and professional dimensions, thereby enhancing graduates’ competencies and their ability to contribute effectively to pharmaceutical care and the improvement of healthcare services.
This workshop forms part of the College of Pharmacy’s ongoing efforts to advance its postgraduate programs and elevate the quality of their outcomes in line with its academic mission, while reinforcing its role in preparing highly qualified pharmacy professionals specialized in the field of clinical pharmacy.
