Sana'a — The University of Science and Technology achieved a distinguished accomplishment in the First Scientific Translation Competition among students of Yemeni public and private universities, organized by the Higher Education Sector at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of 22 male and female students representing eight universities and university colleges.
The two students Huda Yahya Hussein Al-Hababi and Asma Khaled Mohammed Al-Jaifi won fourth and sixth places respectively, among the top six positions in the competition, which included contests in written and oral translation.
This achievement comes as confirmation of UST’s interest in developing its students’ skills, enhancing their linguistic and applied abilities, and encouraging them to participate in scientific competitions and academic contests.
On this occasion, UST congratulates the two students on this achievement, wishing them and all its students further excellence and success.
The closing and honoring ceremony was attended by Dr. Iman Al-Sharjabi, Dr. Iman Barakat, and Dr. Amira Al-Qasous, faculty members in the English Department; Ms. Mona Al-Ashwal, Director of the Student Affairs Administration; and Ms. Iman Shabour, Activities Specialist at the Administration.
