Sana’a – The University of Science and Technology (UST) – Main Branch – Sana’a, represented by the Faculty of Dentistry and under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Al-Qassem Mohammed Abbas, organized today a free training course titled “Mastering Direct Composite Restorations,” presented by the international lecturer Dr. Islam Al-Baadani, on the sidelines of the Yemeni Cosmetic and Surgical Dentistry Forum and Exhibition.
At the opening of the course, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Olfat Al-Bahri, welcomed the participants—including dentistry students and graduates—emphasizing that organizing this course stems from the university’s commitment to enhancing continuous medical education, providing specialized training programs that keep pace with the latest developments in dentistry, and raising the efficiency of medical cadres to enhance the quality of professional practice.
She noted that the course represents an outstanding scientific opportunity for dentists and those interested in the field to explore the latest techniques in direct composite restorations and acquire practical skills according to the latest global standards, which positively reflects on the quality of therapeutic and cosmetic services provided to patients.
She added that holding the course on the sidelines of the Yemeni Cosmetic and Surgical Dentistry Forum and Exhibition comes within the framework of the university’s keenness to enrich the scientific program of the conference with specialized training activities that contribute to exchanging expertise, enhancing knowledge between academics and practitioners, and hosting distinguished scientific expertise in various dental specialties.
Through these qualitative programs and courses, the University of Science and Technology continues to cement its role in supporting continuous professional development and providing a scientific and training environment that contributes to preparing qualified cadres capable of keeping pace with scientific and technical advancements in the field of dentistry.
