Sana’a – The University of Science and Technology (UST) – Main Branch – Sana’a hosted on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the consultative meeting for a number of private universities in Sana’a, within the framework of strengthening academic cooperation and exchanging expertise to enhance performance efficiency and develop the educational process.

The meeting aims to solidify partnerships among the participating educational institutions, discuss key challenges and opportunities facing the higher education sector, and review best practices and successful experiences that elevate academic and administrative performance and improve the quality of educational outcomes.

The meeting opened with a welcoming speech by Dr. Fouad Hanish, Secretary-General of the University, in which he welcomed the participants, emphasizing the importance of these consultative meetings in fostering integration among universities and sharing experiences to positively impact institutional performance quality. He also noted that the current phase requires further coordination and joint work to keep pace with rapid developments in the education sector and achieve excellence and leadership for educational institutions.

For her part, the University President’s Advisor, Dr. Huda Al-Imad, affirmed that this meeting represents a serious starting point toward establishing a joint roadmap for the participating universities, aimed at addressing prominent challenges and threats while working as a single team to achieve continuous improvement and development. She stressed the importance of adopting quality standards and academic accreditation as a core reference in performance development to enhance the efficiency of educational institutions and upgrade their outcomes to meet labor market demands.

The meeting witnessed rich discussions and qualitative interventions from the participating university presidents, reflecting their keenness to exchange knowledge and expertise and strive toward building effective partnerships that support pathways of sustainable development and improvement.
