Sana’a – The University of Science and Technology (UST) – Main Branch – Sana’a inaugurated today a comprehensive package of free, high-quality training programs tailored for university students, graduates, and high school students. This initiative aligns with the university’s community mission to empower youth academically and professionally, boosting their readiness for the job market and their future educational journeys
During the inauguration ceremony, University President Prof. Dr. Al-Qassem Abbas emphasized that the university places great importance on human development and investing in youth capabilities, believing that true transformation begins with education and high-level training capable of building competencies and driving excellence.
Prof. Dr. Al-Qassem Abbas noted that these programs extend the institution’s academic and social role, equipping participants with the practical skills needed to compete locally and globally. He highlighted that UST features advanced infrastructure, state-of-the-art laboratories, specialized training centers, and cutting-edge technical equipment that provide an optimal educational environment.
Furthermore, the University President announced the establishment of the “University of Science and Technology Scientific Club” for course participants, creating a dedicated intellectual incubator to foster research, creativity, and knowledge exchange.
The inauguration events—held concurrently at the Girls’ Branch and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences—featured presentations by faculty deans outlining the specialized courses, objectives, and targeted skill sets.
Dean of the Girls’ Branch Dr. Susan Al-Harwi highlighted the university’s enduring commitment to providing a supportive, independent educational environment tailored for female students. She noted that the Girls’ Branch integrates comprehensive campus facilities, including academic colleges, sports complexes, transportation services, nurseries, kindergartens, and student residences, ensuring a safe and motivating atmosphere for academic and personal growth.
