• Organizational Guide to the Units of the College of Dentistry

    The College of Dentistry comprises a distinguished group of administrative and academic units that work collaboratively to ensure the effective delivery of educational and service functions in accordance with the highest standards of quality.

    1. Financial and Administrative Affairs Unit

    This unit is responsible for organizing logistical and financial matters and providing a safe, well-structured educational environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Direct supervision of cleaning services, general appearance, and routine as well as emergency maintenance activities.
    • Monitoring security aspects and safety procedures within the college facilities.
    • Coordinating with the Services Department to provide transportation for students and college staff.
    • Participating in the selection of external examination invigilators and supervising the provision of educational resources.

    2. Quality Assurance and Development Unit

    The unit works to institutionalize standards of excellence and enhance academic and administrative performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promoting a culture of quality among faculty members, employees, and students.
    • Continuously evaluating the quality of academic programs, courses, and the educational process.
    • Monitoring performance indicators and assessing academic efficiency and university services.
    • Organizing workshops and training programs to enhance curricula and study plans.
    • Coordinating with the University’s Quality Management Administration to obtain academic accreditation.

    3. Admissions and Registration Unit

    This unit serves as the student’s primary gateway and manages student records from admission through graduation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervising admission, registration, archiving, and graduation processes.
    • Chairing the committee for new student admissions and entering study plans into the academic system.
    • Resolving admission-related issues and coordinating with relevant entities.
    • Preparing official statistics and annual lists of enrolled and top-performing students.
    • Following up on the completion of grades, certification of documents, and academic clearance procedures.

    4. Student Affairs Unit

    • Supervising general activities, art exhibitions, and recognition ceremonies for outstanding students.
    • Maintaining continuous communication with academic departments to address student concerns.
    • Activating and supporting the Alumni Club and organizing specialized programs for graduates.
    • Nominating distinguished graduates for employment opportunities in companies and institutions.
    • Contributing to the organization and coordination of annual graduation ceremonies.
