University of Science and Technology (UST) Alumni Club
The Alumni Club aims to strengthen continuous communication between the university’s graduates and current students, build a professional network that promotes the exchange of expertise, support professional development, and connect graduates with the labor market at both local and regional levels.
Objectives of the Alumni Club
- Strengthening the relationship between the university and its graduates.
- Supporting employment and training opportunities for graduates and students.
- Organizing professional networking events and alumni forums.
- Leveraging alumni expertise to support the development of academic programs.
- Enhancing institutional affiliation and engagement with the University of Science and Technology (UST).
After successfully completing more than 70% of the credit hours required in the academic study plan, students of the Interior Design Engineering Program become eligible to enroll in the Field Training Program. The program offers training opportunities in construction companies, engineering consultancy offices, and engineering implementation institutions relevant to the profession.
The program is designed to strengthen the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical application by enabling students to gain direct professional experience in various areas of interior design for engineering projects, on-site supervision of interior execution works, preparation of working and construction drawings, restoration and rehabilitation of heritage or damaged buildings, and occupational health and safety practices at work sites.
The academic staff of the Interior Design Engineering Program coordinate closely with companies and engineering offices to provide suitable training opportunities, organize student placements, and monitor trainees’ field performance throughout the training period. At the conclusion of the program, the host organization is consulted to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the student’s performance and assess the extent to which the intended learning outcomes and approved professional competencies have been achieved.
