Sana’a – The College of Administrative and Human Sciences organized an orientation and welcome meeting for first-year female students for the 1448 AH academic year. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Monther Ishaq, along with a number of faculty members and heads of academic departments. The meeting reflects the College’s commitment to welcoming new students, preparing them for university life, and familiarizing them with academic regulations, policies, and study requirements across the various disciplines offered by the College.
In his welcoming and advisory remarks, Professor Monther Ishaq warmly greeted the new students, expressing his delight at their enrollment in the College of Administrative and Human Sciences and wishing them a university journey filled with success, excellence, and achievement.
The Dean emphasized that the university stage is a critical period in shaping students’ personalities and developing their knowledge and skills. He highlighted the importance of diligence, commitment, discipline, and making the best use of the educational environment provided by the College to prepare qualified graduates capable of competing effectively and contributing meaningfully to society and the labor market.
Professor Monther Ishaq also encouraged the students to focus on their academic achievement, maintain regular attendance, benefit from the expertise of faculty members, and actively participate in scientific, cultural, and student activities. He stressed that university success extends beyond earning high grades and includes building a balanced personality, enhancing communication, critical thinking, creativity, and responsibility.
During the meeting, department heads and faculty members presented a range of topics related to academic programs and specializations, study plans, registration and learning procedures, and course requirements. They also explained the key academic regulations, policies, and instructions that students should understand and adhere to from the beginning of their university journey.
The meeting further addressed the importance of attendance and academic discipline, making use of academic advising and office hours, and becoming familiar with the activities, programs, and services offered by the College. These resources are designed to help students integrate into the university environment and take full advantage of the educational and developmental opportunities available to them.
The event witnessed positive engagement from the new students, who were given the opportunity to raise questions and discuss their concerns with the Dean and faculty members. This interaction helped strengthen direct communication, clarify various academic and administrative matters, and prepare the students for a successful start to their university experience.
