Sana’a – His Excellency the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Hassan Al-Saadi, honored, alongside the President of the University, Prof. Al-Qasim Mohammed Abbas, a group of outstanding students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Science and Technology (UST) who excelled in the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). This recognition took place on the sidelines of the “UST Elite” ceremony, held to honor the university’s graduates from various disciplines for the academic year 2025–2026.
During the ceremony, the Minister praised the students’ achievement, commending their success in one of the most prominent international medical examinations, which is considered a key requirement for practicing medicine in the United States and a significant benchmark for assessing the competence of medical graduates worldwide.
Minister Al-Saadi affirmed that UST is a well-established and trusted institution, enjoying a distinguished academic and scientific standing at the local, regional, and international levels. He noted that the outstanding accomplishments of its students and graduates reflect the quality of its educational outcomes, as well as the effectiveness of its academic programs and its leadership in preparing highly qualified national professionals.
The Minister congratulated the honored students, encouraging them to continue their academic and research pursuits, further develop their scientific and practical skills, and take advantage of educational and training opportunities in order to contribute to community service and the advancement of the healthcare sector.

The ceremony was attended by Vice President of the University Prof. Noman Al-Najjar, Secretary-General of the University Dr. Fouad Hanash, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Dr. Abdullah Al-Makhlafi.
