Sana’a – The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research organized, on Thursday, 14 Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to August 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Medicine Building, the public defense of the Master’s thesis in Islamic Studies submitted by researcher Salwa Abdullah Hazam Ahmed Hazam, entitled:
“Theological Doctrine and Its Impact on Qur’anic Interpretation: Al-Masabih Al-Sati‘ah Al-Anwar as an Analytical Case Study.”
The examination committee consisted of:
Prof. Ahmed Ali Ahmed Yaqoub, Associate Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence at Hajjah University, serving as External Examiner and Chair;
Prof. Mohammed Abdullah Abdu Shaiban, Associate Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence at the University of Science and Technology (UST), serving as Internal Examiner and Committee Member; and
Dr. Abdul Salam Ahmed Saleh Al-Salmi, Assistant Professor of Creed and Religions at September 21 University, serving as Thesis Supervisor and Committee Member.
The defense was attended by a number of faculty members, postgraduate students, researchers, interested scholars, as well as the researcher’s relatives and colleagues. During the session, the researcher presented a summary of her thesis, outlining its objectives, significance, and key findings.
The examination committee commended the quality of the thesis and praised the researcher’s academic and research capabilities, recognizing the scholarly value of her work and its contribution to the field of Islamic Studies.
