Sana’a – The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research organized the public defense of a Master’s thesis in Orthodontics by researcher Yasser Ahmed Mohammed Abdo on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 (6 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1448 AH), at 9:00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall, College of Medicine Building. The thesis was entitled “Establishing Cephalometric Standards for a Yemeni Sample Using McNamara Analysis.”

The examination committee consisted of Prof. Mohammed Abdullah Salem Al-Labani, Associate Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Science and Technology (UST), serving as Internal Examiner and Chair; Prof. Abdul Haq Hussein Al-Hassani, Associate Professor of Orthodontics at Ibb University, serving as External Examiner and Committee Member; and Dr. Yusra Abdo Mohammed Al-Mansoub, Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at UST, serving as Supervisor and Committee Member.
The defense was attended by a number of faculty members, postgraduate students, researchers, interested participants, as well as the researcher’s relatives and colleagues. During the session, the researcher delivered a concise presentation outlining the thesis, its objectives, significance, and the key findings achieved.
The examination committee commended the quality of the thesis and praised the researcher’s academic and scientific capabilities, recognizing the value of the work and its contribution to the field of orthodontics.
