Program Mission:
The master of Pharmaceutics program at the University of Science and Technology provides students with advanced knowledge and high-level research skills and leadership skills in the pharmaceutics filed to meet the needs of community and labour markets through an competent staff, a distinguished environment, advanced curricula and laboratories, according to the Academic Accreditation council, the Medical Council and Total Quality Standards.

Program Goals:
This program aims to:
1. Provide an opportunity for students to advance their knowledge and understanding of the formulation, design, and development of safe, effective and stable medicine.
2. Afford practical and research training to the students in the areas of drug formulation, drug delivery etc.
3. Encourage students to acquire research skills of planning, conducting, evaluation, reporting, and presentation of results.
4. Consolidate students’ critical, analytical, practical, and communications skills.

Intended Learning Outcomes classify into:

A. Knowledge and Understanding

Al. Explain the advances in pharmaceutics, novel approaches in drug delivery system and pharmaceutical analysis techniques.

A2. Identify the physicochemical properties of substances, discovery and design of various dosage forms.

A3. Recognize the scientific ethics of research in pharmaceutics and biotechnology.

A4. Describe the principles pharmacokinetic analysis using both of compartmental and physiologically based models.

B. Intellectual Skills

B1. Analyze and evaluate the information in the field of drug development, drug delivery system, biotechnology and biostatistics.

B2 Integrate various professional knowledge to solve problems related to drug formulations.

B3. Formulate an individual research project and Interpret the obtained pharmaceuticals research data.

C. Professional and Practical Skills

C1. Formulate and evaluate different types of dosage forms.

C2. Apply safely and efficiently advanced technological research tools and equipment’s for pharmaceutical processes.

C3. Develop different research methodologies and good experimental and reporting skills in the drug formulations and analytical.

C4. Apply skills and professional evaluation of published scientific research papers.

D. General Skills

D1. Work in team or alone to develop life-long learning.

D2. Present and defense his project in a timely manner based on pharmaceutical data analysis.
