Sana’a – The Faculty of Dentistry and the Medical Education and Training Center at the University of Science and Technology (UST) concluded the intensive specialized training course Art of Rotary Endodontics, which was held under the patronage of Prof. Al-Qasim Abbas, President of the University. The two-day program brought together a distinguished group of dentists and dental students.
The first day of the program featured theoretical lectures addressing the latest concepts and techniques in root canal treatment using rotary systems. The second day was dedicated to hands-on practical training in the Faculty of Dentistry laboratories, where participants were given the opportunity to train directly using advanced tools and specialized technologies in a setting that simulates real clinical environments. This contributed to enhancing their clinical skills and improving their professional competence.
During the closing ceremony, attended by Dr. Susan Al-Harawi, Dean of the Female Students’ Branch, she commended the quality of the training program and emphasized its importance in developing the skills of dental students and graduates. She also highlighted the Faculty of Dentistry’s leading status as one of the pioneering specialized faculties, and its distinguished academic and professional outcomes that have contributed to supplying the healthcare sector with qualified personnel.
She further underscored the role of the university’s Scientific Club in providing advanced training and practical opportunities that help refine students’ skills and strengthen their professional readiness prior to entering the labor market.
Program organizers affirmed that this course is part of a series of specialized training and qualification programs that will be implemented sequentially through collaboration between the Faculty of Dentistry and the Medical Education and Training Center. These initiatives aim to equip dental students with advanced scientific and practical competencies in accordance with the latest standards and technologies in the field of dentistry.
